Connecting Your Zoom Account to ineedcoaching

ineedcoaching's Zoom integration lets you automatically create unique Zoom meeting links for every client session you host through the platform.

How it works

1. Sign in to your coach dashboard at ineedcoaching.org/coach-dashboard
2. Click the "Scheduling" tab in your dashboard sidebar
3. Click "Connect Zoom Account"
4. You'll be redirected to Zoom to authorize ineedcoaching to create meetings on your behalf
5. Approve the requested permissions
6. You'll be redirected back to your dashboard with confirmation that your Zoom account is connected

After connecting, every time a client books a session with you, a new Zoom meeting is automatically created on your Zoom account. The meeting link is sent to your client via email and shown in their client dashboard.

What permissions does ineedcoaching request?

ineedcoaching requests three Zoom permissions:

• Create meetings on your account (meeting:write)
• Read details of meetings we just created (meeting:read)
• Read your basic Zoom profile so we can show "Connected to [email]" in your dashboard (user:read)

We do NOT access your other Zoom meetings, contacts, recordings, or billing information.

Disconnecting

You can disconnect ineedcoaching from your Zoom account two ways:

1. From your ineedcoaching coach dashboard:
   Settings, Scheduling, Disconnect Zoom
2. From Zoom:
   marketplace.zoom.us, Manage, Installed Apps, ineedcoaching, Uninstall

Either method immediately revokes ineedcoaching's access to your Zoom account. After disconnection, no future meetings will be created on your account by ineedcoaching.

Data handling

ineedcoaching stores only:

• Your Zoom user ID and email (for connection display)
• Encrypted OAuth access and refresh tokens
• The meeting IDs of sessions we've created (linked to your bookings)

We do not store meeting recordings, transcripts, participant lists, or any meeting content. All meetings are created, hosted, and controlled entirely within your Zoom account.

Troubleshooting

Meeting wasn't created for a booking:

If a booking was confirmed but no Zoom link was generated, your access token may have expired or been revoked. Reconnect your Zoom account from your coach dashboard.

I disconnected by accident:

Reconnect anytime from your coach dashboard. Click the Scheduling tab.

Wrong Zoom account connected:

Disconnect first (either method above), then reconnect while signed in to the correct Zoom account.
